Azul de Cortez is a 2,000-acre golf, beach and marina community on the Sea of Cortez in the Baja California Sur region of Mexico. Within a short drive of downtown La Paz, the community offers a diverse array of residential choices and resort amenities in a unique and unspoiled natural setting of white sand beaches, natural desert landscape and rugged mountain terrain. Under the direction of Isolux Corsán, the vision is now becoming a reality.
The community has been designed to combine the spirit, lifestyle and culture of Baja with the site’s unique natural landscape. This concept has played an important role in guiding and directing the character and style of the architecture and amenities. Each design decision embraces an architectural spirit of the Baja, taking notes from authentic structures to incorporate native materials, local traditions, hand-crafted details, indigenous weather protections, strong indoor and outdoor relationships, and stepped buildings to blend with the natural slope of the terrain. At the heart of the community is a Greg Norman designed golf course and a mixed-use Marina Village, the social and cultural gathering place for residents and guests. Environmental stewardship, sustainability and delivering long-lasting value comprise the foundation for success at Azul de Cortez.
